If you have a child between the ages of 2 and 10 years you probably spend your weekends going from birthday party to birthday party. I know I do! It’s really a lot of fun. Here is a cool little idea for creating a fun and memorable birthday card. This is especially great for those that are pre-reading age. Instead of signing a card or the present, create a visual card that helps the child recognize who is giving them the gift. This is also a great way to get your children involved in the gift giving process. It turns the present into an arts and crafts project.
This photo above came from a gift mom and dad gave little Liam.

This photo came from a gift given to Liam from some classmates.
Easy steps:
1) Cut out a photo of the person giving and receiving the gift. Headshots usually work best
2) Fold a piece of paper in half and glue or tape pictures to card
3) Write “to” next to receiver and “from” next to giver
4) Add a special note, stickers on the outside, draw around the picture or keep it simple
5) Either, buy the self-laminating envelopes (most supply stores) and seal at home or go to Kinkos and laminate. If you go to Kinkos don’t forget to cut around the edges
6) Use a hole puncher to punch a small hole in the corner
7) Attach with ribbon to present
Dream big. Dream often. Be a movie star!
