Cut and Paste And Create In Your Journal

I love arts and crafts time and that’s saying a lot for someone that doesn’t have one single crafty bone! For me, crafts have to be easy, simple and don’t require special equipment, 10 steps or complicated organization. This is one of my favorite journaling tricks that really unleashes creativity without any work. All you are going to do is cut out words from magazines and use them to string together new thoughts, feelings and ideas. Magazine ads are a great source because there are marketing people that have spent days laboring over each and every word (I used to be one of those people). Because of that, magazines are filled with vivid, colorful language. This activity, part of building block CREATE, can be a curious journey of discovery.

All you need for this activity is the following:

1) 4 or 5 magazines to cut up
2) scissors and a glue stick
3) your journal or a blank piece of paper

Let’s do one together. Watch the video “how to cut and paste and create in your journal” video and lets get started.
